My Yoga Philosophy

I teach throughout the stunning areas of Royal Deeside and Perthshire, bringing traditional teachings to our local communities. My classes are grounded in authentic yogic tradition while remaining completely accessible to everyone.

I'm trained to work with various physical conditions and have a solid understanding of anatomy - I always aim to adapt and support each individual who comes along to class. Whether you're dealing with physical limitations, stress, or simply want to feel more connected to your body, we'll find a way to make yoga work for your unique needs.

Why Yoga Found Me

(And Why It Might Find You Too)

Yoga came into my life exactly when I really, really needed it. Over the past 10 years of practice, my understanding has changed greatly with each year that passes by. But here's what I know for sure: if you're even slightly curious about yoga, it's worth giving it a go.

My personal practice centers around Ashtanga yoga - a traditional sequence that flows through vinyasa, standing and seated postures using ujjayi breath, bandah and dristi.

But my classes? They are mostly Hatha based with a hint of Ashtanga and all my other yoga learnings throughout the years. All my classes are accessible to all levels from beginners to experienced practitioners.

My Journey

I completed my comprehensive yoga teacher training at Yoga Jo's in Milngavie, where I was mentored by Jo — an incredibly experienced teacher who gave me invaluable insights into both the practice and art of teaching yoga. I'll always be grateful for the solid foundation of knowledge she has provided me with.

My teaching has also been shaped by several inspiring instructors: Michel Ross my teacher from the age of 14 who has provided me with not just teaching and practice insight. But also opportunity to grow and develop as a student and now as a teacher and for that I will always be grateful. As well as her introducing me to ashtanga yoga practice.

Additionally, Rebecca Murray, David Keil, Scott Johnson, and Matt Ryan. Each has contributed uniquely to how I understand and teach yoga, and their influence flows through every class I teach.

About Me

I'm Kathryn, a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor serving the beautiful communities of Royal Deeside and Perthshire. While I may have only recently stepped into teaching, yoga has been a part of my life for over a decade — I discovered this transformative practice at age 14 and am still practicing to this day.

Teaching yoga has been a dream of mine for years, and I feel incredibly blessed to finally share what has become such an important part of my life. There's something magical about sharing yoga with others and I will be forever grateful that I am able to share my practice and be a small part of peoples yoga journeys.
